Isn't it funny how we give up our identity, the being God created, to be like someone else, just to be accepted by others in this world. As we give up our identity we lose our joy and continue searching for it, even though we have earned acceptance of others.
That is not what God wants of us.
Psalm 139:14 -- I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,And that my soul knows very well.
John 18:36 -- Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
13. Philippians 3:20 -- But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our life in this world is only temporary. Our goal is eternal.
Sometimes we have to ask ourselves, "Is our sacrifice of self worth the consequence..."
