One night I had a wondrous dream,

One set of footprints there was seen,

The footprints of my precious Lord,

But mine were not along the shore.

But then some stranger prints appeared,

And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"

Those prints are large and round and neat,

"But Lord they are too big for feet."

"My child," He said in somber tones,

"For miles I carried you alone.

I challenged you to walk in faith,

But you refused and made me wait."

"You disobeyed, you would not grow,

The walk of faith, you would not know.

So I got tired, I got fed up,

and there I dropped you on your butt."

"Because in life, there comes a time,

when one must fight, and one must climb.

When one must rise and take a stand,

or leave their butt prints in the sand."

How do we serve God without taking a risk. We may be afraid of peoples reactions  just by mentioning the name of Jesus Christ, but isn’t that stepping out in faith. How do we share who God is if we are just sitting on the sidelines? You know I remember someone which chose to be disobedient to God when God gave him a mission. His name was Jonah. Do you remember him? God told him to do something and when he decided to run away rather than be obedient God had a whale swallow him and he spent many days in the whales belly contemplating if his defiance was worth the consequence he chose. Matthew 28:18-20 -- Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Deuteronomy 10:11 -- And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take [thy] journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give unto them.

Taking a journey means taking an action, to move.

James 2:14-18 --  What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds," Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
