Funyun Crusted Chicken

Are you looking for an amazing crusted chicken recipe? This recipe is delicious and can easily be made gluten-free, with no one recognizing the difference.
Unfortunately, Funyuns are not rated as Gluten Free, But there are alternative choices: COSMOS CREATIONS ONIN RINGS, TEATOS CRUNCHY RINGS SNACKS, OR HARVEST SNAPS RED LENTIL CRUNCHIONS.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds raw boneless, skinless chicken tenders
1 cup seasoned flour (to make this recipe use a gluten-free flour. I use gluten-free Bisquick.
I also use Kickin' Chicken Finger Licken for my spice in my flour)
1 egg
1 big bag Funyuns, mashed into dust

Cooking Instructions
1. You need 3 medium shallow dishes or plates.
2. In Dish #1, combine your flour with salt, pepper, other desired herbs & spices to taste (1 or 2 teaspoons of each) or simply add 1 Tablespoon of Kickin' Chicken Finger Licken.
3. In Dish #2, combine egg, milk, salt, pepper & hot sauce to taste.
4. Finally, in Dish #3, mash or process the funyuns into small crumbs/powder
5. Trim excess fat off chicken strips.
6. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, or spray liberally with cooking spray.
7. Line up, in order, on counter: chicken, flour, egg/milk wash, funyun dust, baking sheets.
8. Coat each chicken tender lightly in flour, then soak for 15-30 seconds in egg wash, then push into funyuns coating thickly. (If you prefer extra crispy, dip chicken into the egg/milk wash a second time. Before pushing them into the Funyuns coating. This makes the breading stick better and makes it crispier) then onto the pan.
7. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes on 1st side & 10-15 minutes on 2nd side, depending on thickness, until golden brown & crispy. Enjoy whatever dipping sauce(s) you like.
